Continue the learning journey with the following extension activity:
In TEENS TO THE RESCUE, have your class work in groups to prepare and present posters on emergency preparedness. They should give their poster a title that reflects its focus, such as “How to Be Prepared for an Allergic Reaction” or “What to Do If Someone Is Choking.” They can use sources other than the article if they like, but remind them to only use information from trusted websites. They should also use a range of materials and images to make their posters as eye-catching and informative as possible. Consider having the class interact with one another’s posters through presentations or a gallery walk at the end.
