Your April 2021 Teacher's Guide

I’m really excited to be able to share “It’s Abuse,” this month’s cover story about digital dating abuse. It’s an eye-opening piece on an important topic, and it’s more timely than ever now that we live so much of our lives online. But the social-emotional learning doesn’t end with the story. Follow these steps to extend the journey:

1) Read: “It’s Abuse,” our incisive and sensitive look at digital dating abuse—how to spot and stop it.

2) Assign: our companion extension activity, available in your lesson plan at Choices Digital.

3) Watch: #BecauseILoveYou on Choices Digital to explore the difference between love and control.

Once you’ve taught the story, won’t you please drop me a line and let me know what you and your students thought about it? I can’t wait to hear your responses!

Warmly,

Jennie Yabroff, Executive Editor
