Continue the learning journey with the following extension activity:
In TEENS CAN SAVE LIVES TOO, have students imagine that someone from the Red Cross is visiting their school to give a talk about a CPR course that will be offered next month. How might this person convince teens that CPR is an important skill for them? Have students prepare a three- to five-minute visual presentation using PowerPoint, Slides, or another presentation tool. Encourage them to use a mix of the information they learned in the article and any online resources about why teens in particular need to know CPR. When students are finished, have them present their talk to another group.
